Tiny Paws Bookkeeping provides virtual bookkeeping services for busy pet-care professionals, giving them clarity and organization so they can focus on caring for pets.
This part-time (approximately 20 hours/week) fully remote role starts September 2025. You’ll have a flexible schedule with required overlap during Monday–Friday business hours (roughly 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Mountain Time) to join our weekly staff meeting, training, and collaborate with your assigned Senior Bookkeeper.
Your primary goal is to deliver an outstanding bookkeeping experience by flawlessly executing recurring bookkeeping tasks. You’ll partner with senior bookkeeping staff to keep each client’s books accurate and organized.
Duties & Responsibilities
Core Bookkeeping:
Manage daily/weekly bank and credit-card feeds and perform monthly reconciliations for assigned clients.
Set up and maintain QBO bank rules and categorize transactions.
Assist With:
Sales-tax tracking/filings (including differentiating income streams such as daycare vs. boarding vs. retail).
Basic financial statement preparation and Digital Tax Packages.
Additional Responsibilities:
Record bills, bill payments, invoices, customer payments, loans, fixed assets, and custom expense classifications.
Maintain backup documentation across Google Drive, QuickBooks Online, and Notion.
Collect W-9s and support 1099 preparation.
Update SOPs/project management processes when needed.
Flag accounting errors and suggest efficiencies/automation opportunities.
Participate in weekly staff meetings and training; quarterly performance reviews.
This is a behind-the-scenes role—direct client communication is handled by senior staff.
Skills, Abilities & Attributes
Experience: Minimum 1 year of bookkeeping/accounting experience (public practice or in-house).
Software: QuickBooks Online strongly preferred; ability to learn or familiarity with Keeper, PetBizCRM, Slack/Pumble, Notion.
Mindset: Eager learner with high follow-through and attention to detail.
Traits: Organized self-starter who speaks up when processes aren’t working and asks questions when stuck.
Communication: Responsive and communicative; strong written and verbal
skills.
Tech & Problem Solving: Comfortable using technology to improve workflows and solve problems.
Spreadsheets: Basic Google Sheets/Excel skills (data cleanup, simple formulas).
Certification: QBO ProAdvisor Level 1 certification required after hire (we sponsor and support you).

Compensation & Benefits
$15–$20 per hour (W-2) plus:
