WalkerScout FAQ
What type of jobs can I recruit with WalkerScout?
In 2019, WalkerScout was built from the ground up to support small businesses in the pet care industry. We have recruited hundreds of pet care professionals, such as dog walkers, dog trainers and dog daycare staff.
We prefer to work with companies caring for dogs in some capacity.
We have also recruited sales staff, administrators, roof inspectors, bookkeepers, and managers.
What is a recruitment process outsourcing solution? Is walkerScout a recruiting firm?
An RPO (recruitment processing outsourcing) and a traditional recruiting firm have similar goals. Getting the right person hired as soon as the client needs them. The big difference? WalkerScout works internally with your candidates. WalkerScout will not own or control your candidates. A recruiting firm is more transactional, and an RPO like WalkerScout is more strategic. Consequently, working with an RPO is far less expensive than a traditional recruiting firm.
Think of WalkerScout as a temporary hiring manager you can deploy when needed.
Where does WalkerScout find candidates?
We encourage clients to have a diverse group of candidate sources. Most clients use sponsored listings on Indeed and/or an applicant tracking service. The client is responsible for those costs. We offer free job post management on Indeed. Other platforms may be available in the future. Once you have access to a unique link that WalkerScout management will provide, you can list your opportunity anywhere.
What is WalkerScoutJobs.com?
WalkerScoutJobs.com is the pet care industry’s premier job board. WalkerScout clients have free access to the board. WalkerScout can provide an embeddable jobs widget for your website's career page. WalkerScoutJobs also syndicates to Google Jobs.
*Please note that WalkerScoutJobs.com is not a replacement for a major job board like Indeed, but a supplement candidate source.
Every business is unique. How will you adapt to hiring in our city? Will you understand our hiring practices and uphold our quality standards?
WalkerScout has hired hundreds of staff members for many different companies across the US. Each market has its own set of hiring challenges. Please check out our testimonials to see how we have helped many companies in the past.
WHAT HR DUTIES CAN BE DELEGATED TO WalkerScout?
WalkerScout can draft job posts, manage listings, perform resume reviews, conduct virtual face-to-face interviews, and review asynchronous interviews. Recruiters provide video recordings, automated transcripts, notes, and scores for each passing candidate. For candidates with potential, we provide professional reference checks, work history verifications, and professional behavior surveys. *WalkerScout’s ability to check professional references and verify work history is based on the response rates of third parties.
WalkerScout has partnered with Foley Services to conduct optional criminal background checks, social media, and motor vehicle record reports.
Business owners still make the final call on who joins the team. Once that staff member resigns, an exit interview can be performed at no cost.
All of these phases, advertising, reviewing, interviewing, reference checks, work history verification, candidate ranking, and exit interviews, are available as one turnkey service.
Do I need to change my recruiting workflow?
WalkerScout is independent of any platform. We offer free job board management services with Indeed; you will not need to subscribe to any third-party service to work with WalkerScout. We also can tailor your application and interview questions to your design. For companies working with PetBizCRM we offer an optional free integration to add passing candidates to your system.
