Kennel Technician

Position Overview

Dog Camp Pet Resort is seeking Kennel Technicians who are passionate about animal care and committed to providing a safe, clean, and enriching environment for all guests. Kennel Techs play a vital role in the daily care and well-being of our Campers (dogs, cats, and occasional small animals).

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate daily care for all animals

  • Maintain high-standard cleaning and sanitation protocols

  • Monitor and record Camper health and wellness (twice daily checks)

  • Track behavior, appetite, elimination, and energy levels

  • Administer meals according to detailed feeding instructions

  • Assist with enrichment activities and structured playgroups

  • Create daily “postcards”/updates for pet parents

  • Support safe and positive group play environments

  • Collaborate effectively with team members

  • Work independently while maintaining a strong work ethic

  • Maintain a positive, professional attitude at all times

Required Skills & Experience

  • Animal behavior knowledge (preferred)

  • Dog handling experience

  • Customer service skills

  • Experience in dog daycare, boarding, walking, or pet sitting (preferred but not required)

  • Ability to follow detailed care instructions

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Requirements

  • Must have consistent access to a safe, insured, and reliable vehicle

  • Ability to work weekends and flexible shifts as needed

  • Must be comfortable working around dogs of all sizes and temperaments

Schedule:

We are hiring for both part-time and full-time positions. We have morning and afternoon shifts available seven days a week.

  • Full-time positions require a consistent schedule with weekend availability (most weekends required)

  • Part-time positions offer more flexible scheduling
